Design • Decals • Vehicle Graphics

Decals that look right — from first sketch to finished application.

Studio BDW helps companies, drivers and enthusiasts with a complete package: graphic design, logo, layout, production and application of decals on vehicles, signs and business premises.

What we specialise in is translating a client's vision into a finished product. Not just design. Not just decals. The whole way in between — from the first sketch or rough concept to the last bubble pushed out of the vinyl.

That means you get a partner who thinks both visually and practically, and a process where nothing gets lost between idea and vehicle. One contact, one responsibility, one carefully considered result.

For us, clear communication is part of the craft. Every step in the process is discussed with you before we move on — so nothing gets started unnecessarily, no costs creep in, and no surprises show up on the invoice. We think with your budget in mind, not just with the pen.

About Studio BDW

Design background meets car culture.

Studio BDW is built on over 20 years of design experience, combined with a deep interest in cars, racing and custom builds. That gives a way of working that is both visual and practical: a graphic shouldn't just look good on screen — it has to work on real materials, real surfaces and real vehicles.

We specialise in the whole. From a new logo or a full livery concept to cutting, printing, preparation and application. One point of contact, a clear process and a result that feels properly thought through.

Case

From idea to finished ID. Buzz for Rudenvall.

When Rudenvall came to us, it wasn't just about putting graphics on a vehicle. The goal was to create a livery that strengthened the brand, stood out clearly, and at the same time worked naturally with the shape of the van.

The work went from the first idea and design proposal through production to finished application. Every step was about making the whole work: the right expression, the right placement and a result that feels genuinely well thought through.

1. The brief

The client needed a clear, professional livery for a Volkswagen ID. Buzz — something that would work as both an eye-catcher and a company identity.

2. Design & fit

The design was developed from the vehicle's proportions, the client's wishes, and how the graphics would actually be experienced in real life — not just on screen.

Production of the decals

3. Production

Once the layout was approved, the artwork was prepared for production with a focus on the right format, materials, cutting and practical application.

4. Finished result

The result is an ID. Buzz with a cohesive livery that feels like a natural part of the vehicle and of Rudenvall's visual identity.

Case

From scale model to Solberg tribute for Richard's Subaru WRX.

Richard came with a clear vision: his blue Subaru WRX would carry exactly the same livery as Petter Solberg's WRC car from the 2005 Monte Carlo Rally. As reference, he had a detailed scale model — the car celebrated by a whole generation of rally fans.

The job demanded precision. Every sponsor, every number, every shade of colour had to match the original. Not a copy of a copy — but a considered reconstruction, built to hold up in the real world.

Scale model of Petter Solberg's Subaru WRX from Monte Carlo 2005

1. The brief

Richard came with a scale model and a clear picture of the goal: an exactly recreated Solberg livery on his own blue WRX. Not in broad strokes, but down to the smallest detail.

2. Design & fit

The scale model was analysed graphically — each element was measured and scaled up to the real vehicle's proportions. Colours, logos and placement all had to match the original on a real car.

3. Production

The decals were produced with materials that hold up to weather, speed and time. Each detail was cut and prepared with the same precision required when a full livery has to sit like the original.

4. Finished result

Richard's blue Subaru WRX now stands as a living tribute to Solberg and Subaru's rally heritage — not a copy, but a tribute built with the same care the original once demanded.

Case

From lost originals to a new tank logo for GBP Racing.

GBP Racing came to Studio BDW with two needs at once: a new race number, and a new tank logo after the motorcycle was fitted with a completely new fuel tank. The old decal no longer fitted — and the original files for the logo were gone. All that remained was the existing logo on the original tank.

The new logo shouldn't just resemble the original. It had to be identical, but in new proportions that followed the shape of the new tank. That demanded careful measurement, painstaking digitisation, and precision at every step.

The original logo on the old tank at GBP Racing

1. The brief

GBP Racing needed a new race number and a new tank logo after a tank change. The original files were gone — all that existed was the old logo on the original tank, and a new tank with different dimensions.

Measuring and digitising the existing logo

2. Design & fit

The logo was measured in detail directly from the old tank, digitised as vectors, and rescaled to fit the new tank's shape. The goal wasn't to resemble the original — it was to be the original.

3. Production

With the vectors in place, new decals were produced in the right format and material. Tank logo and new race number were prepared together, so the bike's overall look would hold together.

4. Finished result

The new tank now carries the same logo as the old one, adapted to its new proportions. Together with the new race number, the motorcycle is ready for the season — without any sign that anything was ever replaced.
